Salary: $204,000 - $310,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the capability roadmap for core foundational models, prioritizing release targets with defensible rationales.
• Translate input from science and commercial teams into concrete, measurable model requirements.
• Analyze competitive and frontier models to identify capability gaps and inform roadmap decisions.
• Define evaluation criteria and success metrics to determine when target capabilities are achieved.
• Establish gating criteria for promoting models to production environments.
• Partner with research leads to sequence capability work against compute, data, and timeline constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proven product management experience for AI/ML products, ideally in a scientific domain.
• Strong understanding of how foundational models are trained, evaluated, and released.
• Track record of translating stakeholder needs into clear, measurable requirements.
• Experience defining release criteria and quality gates for production systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for driving cross-functional decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with foundation models, frontier models, or AI platforms.
• Background in AI-first research, life sciences, or materials science.
• Familiarity with model evaluation methodologies and benchmarking infrastructure.
• Comfort operating in fast-moving, early-stage research environments.
