What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade data pipelines and backend solutions.
• Stabilize and optimize existing data processing components for better performance and scalability.
• Develop clean, testable, and well-documented Python code following engineering best practices.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements.
• Support CI/CD processes and contribute to automated deployment and release management.
• Collaborate with software engineers and Energy Economics domain experts to improve data products.

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial experience in Python application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, ADLS, Azure Functions, Event Grid).
• Proven experience in Software or Backend Engineering, particularly in data-intensive or distributed environments.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, Domain-Driven Design, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and Azure DevOps.
• Business-level English (B2+).

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark and Databricks in production.
• Advanced SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Kafka, Azure Event Hub, or Spark Structured Streaming.
• Knowledge of data quality, observability, and data governance practices.
