Senior Software Engineer (.NET / AWS)

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester (Hybrid – 2 days per week)

Salary: £65,000–£70,000 per annum + Bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable applications using modern .NET technologies.
• Build secure, high-performance cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Modernize legacy applications into microservice-based architectures.
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
• Champion engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and code quality.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and software quality.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with .NET, .NET Core, and C#.
• Proven experience building solutions within AWS.
• Experience developing scalable REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized applications.
• Must be able to work from the Manchester office 2 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of event-driven or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with React or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with BDD/TDD and observability tooling.
