Software Engineer - Core (C#/.NET)

Location: Remote within Northern Ireland

What you will do

• Build and maintain APIs, services, and tools supporting baskets, orders, checkout, promotions, and capacity management.
• Develop small-to-medium features with guidance while contributing reliable and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, version control, sprint ceremonies, and delivery pipeline improvements.
• Help improve platform reliability, scalability, code quality, testing standards, and deployment practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, develop technical expertise, and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Use Claude Code and GitHub Copilot in daily development and participate in on-call duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1.5 years of experience in a software engineering role.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and familiarity with basic programming constructs and design patterns.
• Basic understanding of GitHub or similar version control tools and source code management.
• Familiarity with unit testing and test-driven development frameworks such as NUnit or Jest.
• Basic understanding of distributed systems and experience with Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
