Senior Fire Safety Engineer (all genders)

Location: Vienna, Austria. The office is preferred, with home working available according to an agreed schedule and flexible hours.

Salary: €70,000–€77,000 EUR based on 14 months.

What you will do

• Develop fire safety designs and product solutions for timber buildings in building classes 4 and 5.
• Implement state-of-the-art solutions in the residential building product and manage its continuous evolution through series and change management.
• Coordinate fire safety work with architecture, engineering, MEP, building physics, acoustics, and energy design disciplines.
• Improve short-term and long-term certification strategies for the building product.
• Design and coordinate physical tests at the prototyping center and with external testing institutes.
• Communicate with consultants, authorities, and institutes, and contribute to the advancement of fire safety regulations in Germany.

Requirements

• Experience in the construction industry and project experience from LP5 or later project stages in Germany and/or Austria.
• Knowledge of relevant German and/or Austrian regulations and codes.
• Experience developing fire safety strategies.
• Fluent German skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience with residential buildings in building class 4 and/or 5.
• Experience in timber construction and product certification.
• Experience with Rhino or Revit, alternatively AutoCAD.
• Fluent English skills.
