Customer Engineer III (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Graz, Austria; on-site clean-room work required. Travel is required for approximately 25% of the time. Relocation is eligible.

Salary: €62,400–€85,800 per year, with potential bonus and stock awards where applicable.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and support customer semiconductor equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and plating systems.
• Apply diagnostic techniques and digital analytics to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Collaborate with customers, factory personnel, senior engineers, and technical resources on roadmaps, requirements, escalations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate customer activities, provide status updates, and support operational excellence.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior field service engineers.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Experience with vacuum-based, wet chemistry/plating, or dry chemistry/PVD equipment and software controls.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and digital multimeters, plus basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport if travel is required.
• Ability to work on site in a clean-room environment and meet safety, environmental, and COVID-19 protocols. The role requires extensive standing, walking, climbing, bending, lifting up to 35 lbs., work at height, and use of personal protective equipment.
