What you will do

• Receive and triage patient specimens according to established standard operating procedures.
• Assign accession numbers and create patient charts within the LIMS database.
• Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA laws during the entry of patient information.
• Transport processed specimens to the DNA extraction and cell culture teams.
• Label patient documents with barcodes for scanning via OnBase.
• Identify and report problems that may adversely affect test performance.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be based in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
• Strong computer and typing skills (typing test required).
• Ability to work a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule, including Saturdays.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

Nice to have

• AS or BS degree in chemistry, biology, or a related science field.
• Previous data entry experience.
