AWS Solution Architect

TL;DR

AWS Solution Architect (AWS): Designing scalable, secure cloud architectures and driving workload migrations to AWS with an accent on AI/ML, big data pipelines, and DevSecOps. Focus on architecting complex analytics solutions, producing C4 models, and implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform.

Location: Remote, Charlotte, NC (Hybrid preferred). Must be W2 eligible (No C2C)

What you will do

• Design and implement cloud-based applications and workload migrations primarily on AWS.
• Develop scalable architectures for Web, Mobile, AI, API, and SaaS products.
• Lead the architecture of complex Big Data/AI/ML analytics solutions.
• Produce C4 models, architecture diagrams, and service specifications.
• Integrate DevSecOps using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor engineering and architecture peers across multiple teams.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in digital solution architecture and cloud-based systems.
• Hands-on expertise in AWS services (S3, Lambda, EC2, EKS, Kinesis, Athena, EMR).
• Proven experience in AI/ML architecture and cloud-native data modeling.
• Proficiency in Terraform and CI/CD workflows.
• Eligibility for W2 employment only (C2C is not accepted).

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka or Aveva PI.
• Knowledge of utility forecasting, grid planning, or DERMs.
• Familiarity with AI/ML platforms like Amazon Bedrock or Claude.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
