What you will do

• Manage US sales and use tax returns, nexus determinations, and compliance calendars.
• Prepare and file Canadian federal and provincial indirect tax returns (GST/HST, QST).
• Review international VAT/GST returns for EMEA and APAC jurisdictions to ensure accuracy.
• Support corporate income tax compliance, tax provisions, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Collaborate with Billing, AR, and IT on tax coding and tax engine configuration (e.g., Avalara, Vertex).
• Handle indirect tax audits, government inquiries, and maintain detailed process documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in US sales and use tax compliance.
• Must be eligible to work in the Philippines without sponsorship.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple strict filing deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Canadian GST/HST or international VAT/GST.
• Proficiency with tax automation software like Avalara, Vertex, or OneSource.
• CPA, CMI, or progress toward a relevant professional certification.
