What you will do

• Assist VESL instructors in the enrollment, coordination, and implementation of classes.
• Conduct placement assessments during student registration and handle data entry.
• Support students with class assignments and integrate digital literacy tools in the classroom.
• Contact students to confirm attendance and help them navigate barriers to education.
• Prepare educational materials and collect data to support educational initiatives.
• Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for diverse refugee populations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in TESOL, TEFL, or a related field.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in ESL teaching.
• Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity toward vulnerable and refugee populations.
• Must be based in Salt Lake City, UT.
• Ability to adapt to various learning environments and a passion for education.

Nice to have

• TESOL/TEFL certification.
