What you will do

• Design, develop, and test embedded flight software for the Blue Ring spacecraft.
• Implement software requirements with strict traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test procedures.
• Collaborate with avionics, systems, and propulsion teams to define software interfaces.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality and coding standards.
• Debug complex software and hardware integration issues in lab environments.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Proficiency in C++ for resource-constrained environments.
• Experience with Python for tooling, scripting, or test automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with flight software for spacecraft or safety-critical aerospace systems.
• Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as DO178 or NPR 7150.2.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
