What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting organizational and customer mission objectives.
• Develop production-ready software for autonomous navigation, including waypoint navigation, geofencing, and obstacle avoidance.
• Implement sensor fusion techniques using IMUs, GPS, Cameras, and LiDAR.
• Develop graphical user interfaces using the Qt/QML framework.
• Utilize the MAVLink protocol for communication between UAVs and ground control stations.
• Troubleshoot complex network communication issues and reverse engineer C++ and Python codebases.

Requirements

• Required Secret clearance and must be TS/SCI Eligible.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Virginia Beach, VA.
• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or an applicable science field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with a degree (or 7 years without).
• Proficiency in C, C++, and object-oriented software development methodologies.
• Extensive experience with BetaFlight, ArduPilot, and PX4 flight control systems.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree.
• Experience working with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
