Software Engineer V/VI (C#/.NET)

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, implementation, verification, and integration of embedded and application-level software for safety-critical UAS systems.
• Own major software components and subsystems, making decisions on technology, performance, fault tolerance, and certification pathways.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, GNC, flight test, and cybersecurity teams on requirements and full-system flight demonstrations.
• Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, build systems, and deployment strategies using GitHub Actions and AWS.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and establish rigorous engineering practices.
• Support qualification, certification, airworthiness, verification, validation, and documentation for aerospace and defense standards.

Requirements

• 8–15+ years of professional software engineering experience in complex, high-reliability or safety-critical systems.
• Deep expertise in C# and proficiency in C/C++, Python, or Matlab/Simulink for real-time, embedded, or model-based workflows.
• Experience delivering real-time embedded software, flight-critical applications, autonomy stacks, or mission systems for UAS, drones, robotics, or related platforms.
• Advanced Git/GitHub, Visual Studio, Bash, PowerShell, and scripting or automation experience.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and software deployment in AWS or hybrid cloud environments.
• U.S. person status required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is preferred.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DO-178C.
• Existing security clearance.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, real-time middleware, model-based design, or AI/ML integration for autonomy.
