What you will do

• Underwrite annuity and investment bond applications in alignment with risk appetite and regulatory standards.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments by analyzing financial, medical, and lifestyle data.
• Collaborate with internal teams like Actuarial and Compliance, and external stakeholders including reinsurers.
• Contribute to process design, operational readiness, and customer journey development for new propositions.
• Maintain robust documentation for audit, governance, and reporting purposes.
• Support training and knowledge sharing to promote best practices within the underwriting team.

Requirements

• Strong underwriting experience across life, pensions, or investment products.
• Demonstrable technical underwriting skills with experience in complex enhanced annuity applications.
• Knowledge of FCA regulation and Consumer Duty requirements.
• Experience working with reinsurers, including referral management and facultative underwriting.
• Familiarity with automated underwriting systems and digital solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical decisions to diverse stakeholders.
