Head of Client Reporting JP, Client Operations (Asset Management)

Location: Tokyo, Japan. Hybrid workplace model: work in the designated hirify.global office at least four days per week and outside the office one day per week.

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and coach institutional and retail client reporting professionals.
• Oversee accurate, timely client report production and maintain reporting controls, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop the strategic roadmap for Client Reporting and improve reporting technology, data management, platforms, and operating models.
• Manage relationships with Sales, Investments, Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and senior management.
• Coordinate with regional and global reporting teams and lead cross-functional initiatives involving multiple countries.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve reporting risks and issues while supporting business continuity and operational resilience.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in institutional client reporting, preferably for public pension funds, financial institutions, or asset management clients.
• Experience leading reporting or operations teams and managing organizational change, operating model improvements, and reporting platform enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of investment products, including equities, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternatives, as well as performance measurement, attribution, accounting principles, and reporting regulations.
• University degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Native-level Japanese and business-fluent English required.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, executive communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• CFA, CMA, CAIA, or a similar industry qualification.
• Experience in asset management or the broader investment management industry.
