What you will do

• Develop detailed design solutions and maintain technical documentation for signal delivery projects.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and signal integrity teams to define requirements and constraints.
• Manage project schedules from the design and prototyping phase through New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Perform DFM with vendors and prepare final drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for fabrication.
• Build and validate initial prototypes and perform required design verification.
• Create ECNs and high-level documentation to communicate designs across internal teams.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with electro-mechanical design.
• Proficiency with Solidworks (or similar) and PDM tools.
• Experience with sheet metal, machined part design, and FEA (stress/strain analysis).
• Must be local to San Jose, CA or Agoura Hills, CA.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with electrical connector design for power and high-speed signal delivery.
• Knowledge of signal integrity concepts (insertion loss, return loss, crosstalk).
• Familiarity with Cadence Allegro or similar PCB CAD tools.
• Experience with coaxial cable mass termination techniques.
