What you will do

• Build and lead the Hardware Engineering organization, overseeing R&D, new product development, and sustaining engineering.
• Define the vision, architecture, and roadmap for battery, electrical, powertrain, and structural platforms to create a common technology stack.
• Recruit and develop exceptional engineering leaders and talent, fostering a culture of ownership and relentless execution.
• Partner with executive leadership to balance customer experience, performance, manufacturability, and cost.
• Simplify products and architectures to reduce complexity and accelerate development cycles.
• Coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure successful platform launches and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary hardware engineering organizations for complex electromechanical products.
• Strong systems-level understanding of battery systems, electrical architecture, and hardware-software integration.
• Proven track record of recruiting top talent and coaching engineering leaders.
• Experience defining long-term technology roadmaps and platform strategies for multiple product segments.
• Exceptional communication skills with experience influencing executive stakeholders during rapid growth.
• Location: Based in or able to relocate to Torrance, CA

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or marine industries.
• Background in developing electric vehicles, high-voltage architectures, or power electronics.
• Experience leading multiple successful new product introductions (NPI) and high-rate production.
