Software Developer Engineer II, WARP (Fintech)

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada; in-office expectation of at least 50% of the time monthly, typically three days per week

Salary: CAD 124,000–155,000 per year, plus equity and other compensation components

What you will do

• Design and build fraud prevention and risk management controls for wallet and wallet-adjacent products.
• Develop scalable software solutions across Go, Java/Kotlin, TypeScript, React Native, and AWS.
• Collaborate with product managers, program managers, analysts, data engineers, and software engineers.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical roadmaps, code reviews, sprint rituals, hiring, and mentoring.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain service reliability and support production systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least four years of experience writing production-grade code and delivering scalable software.
• Experience with distributed system architecture, cloud platforms, message brokers, and database technologies.
• Proficiency in at least one of Go, Java/Kotlin, Python, or TypeScript.
• Experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• Ability to work from Burnaby, Canada, with at least 50% monthly in-office attendance.
