What you will do

• Lead the strategy and execution of the Leverage Engineering Pod, overseeing Foundations Engineering, Builder Experience, and Solutions Engineering squads.
• Drive the adoption of shared frameworks and services to measurably increase delivery speed and quality across all Product and Platform pods.
• Modernize the Product Development Lifecycle by leading the shift from AI-assisted to agentic development.
• Establish the Solutions Engineering squad, including selecting agency partners, managing SOWs, and overseeing the handoff of contracted work.
• Hire, develop, and retain engineering managers and senior individual contributors, owning performance and engagement.
• Manage the pod's budget across tooling and agency expenditures.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Director or Senior Engineering Manager, including managing other managers.
• Experience scaling engineering organizations during significant business growth (e.g., $100M to $300M revenue).
• Proven track record leading platform, foundations, or developer productivity organizations.
• Experience managing external agency partners and professional services delivery.
• Must be based in the USA, Canada, or Mexico.
• Daily proficiency in AI development tools and a grounded perspective on agentic development.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby on Rails and React.
• Experience treating internal platforms as a product, focusing on adoption metrics and customer discovery.
• Background in standing up partner delivery or field engineering functions within a product company.
• Familiarity with native iOS and Android mobile development.
