Principal IC Design Verification Engineer (Ethernet/Networking)

Location: Kanata, Canada

Base salary: $137,800–$189,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Architect, design, implement, and verify Ethernet and networking IP for next-generation SoCs.
• Develop UVM verification environments for hardware IP and SoC products.
• Build directed and random verification tests, debug failures, and resolve defects with architecture and design engineers.
• Review functional and code coverage, improving tests and constraints to meet coverage requirements.
• Analyze performance and complexity trade-offs and document IP functionality and implementation.
• Drive continuous improvements in design and verification methodologies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with IP and SoC products.
• Thorough knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM verification.
• Experience architecting and implementing design verification infrastructure and executing full verification cycles.
• Experience with EDA tools, verification flows, scripting in Python, TCL, Perl, Makefile, and Shell, and Git.
• Experience with algorithm development, hardware/software trade-offs, and technical documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Formal and functional safety verification experience.
• Knowledge of networking technologies, including TCP/IP protocols.
• Experience with routers, bridges, or switches.
• Security or cryptography experience.
