What you will do

• Evaluate international, multi-industry commercial credit applicants for creditworthiness.
• Assess complex financial documents, industry/country risks, and payment behavior profiles.
• Provide credit structure and decision recommendations within stated risk appetite.
• Exercise credit approval authority and interact directly with applicants.
• Collaborate with senior management to escalate and resolve credit issues.
• Support innovation and continuous efficiency improvements within the risk team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of commercial business credit philosophy, loan documentation, bankruptcy, and the regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to formulate and articulate objective views based on professional analysis.
• Must be based in the USA (indicated by 401K and FSA benefits).

Nice to have

• 7+ years of experience in commercial credit underwriting.
• Experience with Moody’s CreditLens.
• Expertise in fraud detection best practices associated with online lending.
• Experience with international lending.
