What you will do

• Lead a team of six Data Protection Engineers in enterprise backup and recovery operations.
• Design, implement, and optimize data protection solutions using Commvault technologies.
• Develop and maintain backup, retention, and disaster recovery strategies in compliance with federal regulations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, and cybersecurity teams to integrate data protection across on-premises environments.
• Monitor backup environments and perform root cause analysis for service incidents.
• Create technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and executive-level performance reports.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance required
• Active Commvault Certification required
• Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise data protection, backup, and recovery.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical lead or team leadership capacity.
• Extensive experience with large-scale VMware virtualized infrastructures.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Avamar administration and migration.
• Experience integrating Commvault with hybrid or cloud-based solutions.
• Automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Additional certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or VCP.
