What you will do

• Produce newscasts and digital content for broadcast, OTT, and FAST platforms.
• Write news scripts, headlines, and teases while editing video content.
• Execute live shots and manage video livestreams as needed.
• Respond to breaking news with accuracy and urgency.
• Collaborate with reporters on daily stories and participate in editorial meetings.
• Curate YouTube channels and publish content to the website.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work on-site in San Diego.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization for the United States.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a broadcast line producer or digital producer.
• At least 1 year of prior news editing experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere or similar editing software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AP style writing and guidelines.
• Ability to work any shift in a 24/7 news environment.

Nice to have

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.
• Experience writing scripts and captions for video graphics.
• Knowledge of libel laws and FCC regulations.
