TL;DR

Associate Creative Director (Copywriting): Defining the verbal identity and creative direction for a global active lifestyle brand with an accent on brand campaigns, product marketing, and social media. Focus on leading a team of copywriters, partnering with cross-functional leadership, and maintaining high-craft standards across all brand touchpoints.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to San Francisco or New York City (Hybrid: 3 days per week on-site)

Salary: $205,000 – $215,000

What you will do

  • Own copy direction across brand campaigns, paid social, GTM strategies, and tentpole activations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 2–3 experienced copywriters and content creators.
  • Partner with the Executive Creative Director and Visual Design leads to develop integrated campaign concepts.
  • Shape and evolve the brand's verbal identity, tonal guidelines, and naming conventions.
  • Write and direct copy across diverse formats including long-form, social-native, video scripts, and app store content.
  • Present creative work to leadership, connecting decisions to business outcomes and brand strategy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in copywriting and creative concepting in both agency and in-house environments.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring experienced creative team members.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft across brand campaigns and multi-format work.
  • Deep understanding of platform-native writing for TikTok, Meta, YouTube, and in-product contexts.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect creative decisions to brand and business impact.
  • Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco or New York City at least 3 days per week.
