Software Engineer, AV HIL Platform (Automotive)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; hybrid attendance required at least three times a week

Salary: $123,000–$190,000 annual base compensation, plus potential incentive pay

What you will do

• Develop and scale software for high-fidelity Hardware-in-the-Loop platforms and integration services.
• Increase platform capabilities, observability, reliability, and validation scale.
• Deliver production-quality software through requirements generation, continuous integration, automated testing, issue tracking, and code reviews.
• Optimize and deploy HIL services as a platform supporting next-generation autonomous vehicles.
• Collaborate with Embodied AI, Model Deployment, Middleware, OS, Sensor Applications, and Vehicle Integration teams.
• Deliver complex projects through incremental development.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience writing production-quality software.
• Strong coding and systems fundamentals with Python and C++.
• Understanding of designing high-performance software components.
• Experience developing in a Linux environment.
• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience optimizing or evaluating complex software systems on dedicated hardware.
• Experience with ROS architectures and low-latency or real-time systems.
• Autonomous vehicle industry experience.
• Experience with SQL and large build systems such as Bazel.
