TL;DR

Litigation Paralegal (Legal): Supporting attorneys in civil litigation, personal injury, and construction defect matters with an accent on case management and trial preparation. Focus on managing discovery processes, drafting legal documents, and coordinating trial logistics for insurance defense cases.

Location: Hybrid in Seattle, WA. Must be able to work in office as needed.

Salary: $35 - $48 per hour

What you will do

  • Support attorneys through all phases of civil litigation, including case management and drafting legal documents.
  • Manage discovery by propounding and responding to interrogatories, requests for admissions, and subpoenas.
  • Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials by creating binders and coordinating exhibits.
  • Independently obtain and organize medical records and calculate damages for lost wages and medical expenses.
  • Coordinate witness travel and trial logistics including charts and notebooks.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel regarding case status.

Requirements

  • Paralegal certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal civil litigation deadlines and rules.
  • Ability to work in the Seattle office as needed.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with litigation in the state of Washington is highly encouraged.

Nice to have

  • Experience specifically in insurance defense or personal injury matters.
