What you will do

• Lead the full lifecycle of Data Science & Machine Learning models from experimentation to production deployment.
• Manage day-to-day team operations, including prioritization, unblocking tasks, and ensuring delivery standards.
• Define and champion DS best practices for modeling standards, code quality, and experimentation frameworks.
• Collaborate with MLOps and other DS leads to align standards, share learnings, and prevent duplication of work.
• Set performance goals, conduct 1:1s, and create individualized development plans for direct reports.
• Translate complex business problems into technical briefs and communicate results to executive audiences.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on data science experience with direct experience deploying models to production.
• 4+ years of experience managing a team of data scientists, including hiring and performance management.
• Proficiency in Python and a strong understanding of supervised/unsupervised ML and model evaluation.
• Experience with MLOps tooling (e.g., MLflow, Vertex AI, Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Must be based in Canada.
