What you will do
- Develop pressure-system components, balancing design impact on product performance, manufacturability, and end-user experience.
- Apply design requirements across patients/customers, usability and accessibility, therapy performance, environmental factors, cost, quality, and design for manufacture and assembly.
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary project teams across mechanical, electronics, systems, software, and manufacturing disciplines.
- Build and evaluate prototypes using additive manufacturing and hands-on fabrication methods.
- Design and conduct verification and validation testing to demonstrate compliance with requirements under expected use and operating conditions.
- Perform risk management activities (e.g., DFMEA) and maintain accurate design and test documentation within the Quality Management System and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience.
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience with 3D CAD modelling (Creo preferred; any CAD package acceptable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Nice to have
- Product development experience in medical devices or another highly regulated industry.
- Interest or experience in fluid dynamics, acoustics, pneumatic systems, pumps/blowers, or electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience with ANSYS CFD.
- Experience designing injection-moulded components.
