What you will do

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the Identity International team, leading engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to define technical constraints and trade-offs.
• Proactively identify and solve systemic project, process, or technology issues.
• Maintain system availability through monitoring, metrics, and participation in on-call rotations.
• Foster a culture of quality by improving code review and design standards.
• Mentor engineers, support new hires, and contribute to hiring processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Proven track record of building distributed systems with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience defining technical plans for significant feature or system components with extensible design.
• Proficiency in making safe, significant changes within a large codebase.
• Must be based in Spain (Visa sponsorship is available).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for global collaboration.
