What you will do

• Pioneer agent experiences by designing interfaces, protocols like MCP, and tooling for agentic workflows.
• Own the full product surface from the HTTP layer to the UI across API, SDK, CLI, and web.
• Build high-leverage platform capabilities and automated quality gates to multiply team output.
• Set the standard for AI-assisted development by integrating tools like Cursor or Claude Code into the team workflow.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to build the right abstractions at the right time.
• Develop observable and auditable systems with robust monitoring and verification mechanisms.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to design and deliver versioned APIs, SDKs, or client libraries.
• Proficiency building web interfaces with React or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience shipping with AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong intuition for API usability for both humans and AI agents.

Nice to have

• Experience building or consuming MCP servers.
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks and orchestration patterns.
• Strong familiarity with a compiled language like Rust, Go, or Java.
• Experience developing database or query engine SDKs.
