Financial Analyst (DoD)

Salary: $99,000 — $144,000 USD

What you will do

• Prepare and initiate budget execution documents including PRs, MIPRs, and IGTs.
• Monitor and analyze daily commitments, obligations, and expenditures to ensure accurate portfolio execution.
• Perform complex financial reconciliations and validate execution data across multiple management systems.
• Develop financial models, dashboards, and trackers using advanced Excel techniques.
• Prepare funding forecasts, spend plans, and executive-level briefings for senior DoD leadership.
• Support the full range of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics (or 10+ years of relevant DoD experience).
• 5+ years of experience in DoD financial management, budget execution, or PPBE.
• 2+ years of experience with 7600A/7600B Interagency Agreements.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Experience with DoD financial management systems and ULO research.

Nice to have

• Experience with G-Invoicing, Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), or Advana.
• Experience supporting financial audits.
• Proficiency in budget/resource analytic tools.
