Location: Remote (Must be available during 8AM - 5PM AEST)

What you will do

• Prepare individual, company, trust, partnership, and SMSF income tax returns.
• Lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
• Assist in preparing Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns and financial statements.
• Review client financial records and identify missing or incomplete information.
• Communicate professionally with clients to obtain documentation and resolve queries.
• Maintain accurate client files and ensure compliance with ATO deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm.
• Proven experience preparing Australian income tax returns and BAS.
• Strong understanding of Australian taxation principles and ATO requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work 8AM - 5PM AEST.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or APS/XPM.
• Exposure to GST, PAYG, and payroll tax compliance.
• Relevant accounting qualification or progress towards CPA/CA.
