A global technology company provides a marketing decision platform for planning and activating cross-channel programmatic media campaigns using real-time research, proprietary audience data, advanced analytics, and more than 150 integrated partners.
What you will do
- Build and own automated pipelines that ingest AWS cost and usage data into a queryable analytics layer.
- Store cost data in S3, catalog it with Glue, and maintain performant, reliable Athena-based analytics at scale.
- Design reusable data models with dimensions such as project, product, service, hosting area, and cost center.
- Automate tagging governance by auditing tag consistency and policy compliance, identifying drift, and producing remediation-ready reports.
- Build parameterized self-service reports for Finance and executive stakeholders, from team-level detail to executive rollups.
- Support the AWS Cloud Financial Management assessment and enable AI-assisted cost analysis in Claude.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in data engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Practical AWS expertise with Cost and Usage Reports, Athena, Glue, S3, IAM, and AWS Cost Explorer.
- Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, plus Python for automation, scripting, and data processing.
- Strong data modeling skills and experience with BI tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Understanding of CAPEX/OPEX, budgeting cycles, cost allocation, and readiness to participate in a PagerDuty rotation for 2–4 months on demand.
Nice to have
- FinOps Foundation or AWS certification.
- Experience with CUDOS, Cloud Intelligence Dashboards, colocation, or fixed-asset cost management.
- Ad-tech or high-volume infrastructure experience.
- Experience using Claude or other AI/LLM tools to improve workflows.
