What you will do

• Design and develop scalable enterprise-level backend solutions for billing and commerce infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, finance, and operations to build innovative application experiences.
• Architect efficient, scalable systems and resolve complex performance or scalability issues.
• Develop reusable software components for interfacing with various backend platforms.
• Lead complex technical efforts and provide guidance to peers on best practices.
• Establish end-to-end ownership of critical components and features.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable enterprise-level backend solutions.
• Professional experience with modern programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and event-driven architecture (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Must be based in the UK to support the remote work arrangement.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a highly technical subject.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Salesforce or similar large CRM systems.
• Familiarity with API-first development and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Experience with AI-assisted code development tools.
