What you will do

• Lead and grow engineering teams while staying close to the work and shipping what matters.
• Review RFCs, guide technical decisions, and push for the best solution through honest, Socratic discussions.
• Design and oversee scalable, high-quality systems and integrations (including REST/GraphQL APIs).
• Drive the shift to AI-native product development, including safe evaluation and shipping of AI-generated behaviors/code.
• Coordinate initiatives across teams and improve team processes through continuous iteration.
• Run weekly 1:1s focused on development and well-being; hire as the team grows.

Requirements

• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• 5+ years as a full-stack engineer or similar role.
• Strong experience designing APIs (REST, GraphQL) and building integrations.
• Experience with scalability, performance, and quality constraints in production.
• Experience building or contributing to AI-powered features/workflows that reached production.
• Ability to define behavior/success criteria for AI systems, measure output quality, ground in real data, and keep humans in the loop when needed.
