TL;DR
Kubernetes Platform Engineer (Cloud): Designing, implementing, and automating Kubernetes-based platform capabilities for a large-scale private cloud network with an accent on scalability, reliability, and operational support. Focus on developing platform automation, integrating networking and security, and driving continuous service improvement within a hybrid infrastructure environment.
Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester, Ipswich, or London (Hybrid: 3 days in office)

What you will do
- Design, build, and enhance Kubernetes platform capabilities within private cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain platform automation using Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Implement lifecycle management processes for Kubernetes clusters and supporting services.
- Integrate networking, monitoring, logging, and security capabilities into the platform.
- Support platform reliability through proactive troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to proof-of-concept activities.
Requirements
- Must be based in the UK or able to work from Manchester, Ipswich, or London offices.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating Kubernetes in production.
- Experience with private cloud or on-premises infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible.
- Solid understanding of networking, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.
Nice to have
- Experience with OpenStack, VMware, or Rancher/RKE2.
- Scripting skills in Python or Golang.
- Knowledge of enterprise storage, PKI, and certificate management.
- Understanding of Telco Cloud technologies like SR-IOV, Multus, and DPDK.
