Location: Hybrid (Must be based in Malaysia, working from the office at least 3 days per week)

What you will do

• Build backend services, APIs, and workflows for the AI Neobank app.
• Design reliable systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, and reconciliation.
• Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, and other data providers.
• Support products across insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, and travel services.
• Improve system reliability, observability, security, and performance.
• Build practical and auditable systems ready for regulated financial products.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, system design, and production debugging.
• Experience building scalable services and integrating third-party systems.
• Good understanding of security, reliability, and data quality for operational edge cases.
• Strong English communication skills are required.
• Must be based in Malaysia for the hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking or other regulated products.
