Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Golang)

Location: Onsite in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

What you will do

• Develop and own backend services and APIs for hirify.global For Business products from requirements through production.
• Collaborate with product, design, business, and QA teams to deliver stable product releases.
• Lead technical discussions, review code and technical documentation, and improve engineering practices.
• Build reusable, scalable, and testable code using robust backend architecture.
• Lead system robustness, deployment pipelines, observability, debugging, and production incident resolution.
• Participate in on-call duty and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience in distributed systems environments.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Production experience shipping web applications or backend services as an engineering owner.
• Proficiency in Golang, including concurrency handling and optimization, or strong coding skills in another language with willingness to work with Golang.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, AWS or GCP, cloud deployments, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with service observability, incident resolution, Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and AI coding tools.
