TL;DR
Python Developer (Backend): Designing, developing, and maintaining business applications and APIs for enterprise technology solutions with an accent on Python backend development, SQL databases, testing, and third-party integrations. Focus on troubleshooting production applications, supporting deployments, and solving application performance and service availability challenges in a fully onsite environment.
Location: Putrajaya, Malaysia; fully onsite five days per week

What you will do
- Participate in solution design discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain business applications and backend APIs.
- Integrate third-party software components and REST APIs.
- Perform unit and integration testing and support user acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot application issues and monitor production systems for availability and performance.
- Support deployment, configuration, release activities, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of experience in Python development.
- Strong knowledge of Python 3.8+ and backend application development.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server or similar.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; the role is fully onsite in Putrajaya, Malaysia, five days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience with FastAPI.
- Experience with React and Node.js frontend development.
- Knowledge of application integration, REST APIs, cloud technologies, and modern development practices.
- Experience with financial services or financial market operations.
