Backend Developer (PHP)

Location: Hybrid work with an office in Gdańsk, Poland

Salary: 750–1000 PLN net per day on a B2B contract

What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable backend services for a modern cloud platform.
• Build reliable, high-performance application components and develop new product features.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure application security and reliability.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, mobile, QA, and product stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience developing web-based distributed applications.
• Strong commercial experience with PHP 8.4+ and a modern framework such as Symfony, Laravel, or similar.
• Experience with MySQL 8+, Docker, Redis, RESTful APIs, and Git.
• Good understanding of HTTP, cookies, sessions, TLS, and secure web application development.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with identity or device management ecosystems such as Azure AD, LDAP, SAML, Apple MDM, or Google EMM.
• Knowledge of Linux administration, GitLab, web hosting configuration, or web security.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Slack, or Microsoft Teams.
• Basic knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, or RxJS.
