Senior Software Engineer (PHP)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend features and REST APIs for the US Legal Forms platform.
• Develop PHP/Laravel services and contribute to selected React frontend tasks.
• Use AI tools to improve development speed and delivery quality.
• Analyze A/B test results and take ownership of product outcomes.
• Make technical and process decisions, write maintainable tested code, and improve team effectiveness.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong PHP/Laravel proficiency and hands-on experience with AI tools in development work.
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL/MySQL, SQS message queues, AWS, and software testing.
• Basic Python and React knowledge for cross-functional contributions.
• English at B1+ level and fluency in Ukrainian or Russian are required.
• Proactive, independent ownership and comfort making decisions in a low-bureaucracy team.
