Senior Test Software Engineer - TeraWave

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees.

Salary: $197,529.00–$276,539.55 annual base pay for Washington applicants; other site ranges may differ.

hirify.global develops reusable space vehicles and systems and is building TeraWave, a multi-orbit satellite communications network with optically interconnected LEO and MEO satellites.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain electrical software test strategies, test plans, verification matrices, configurations, results, and scripts.
• Derive electrical test requirements from system specifications, interface control documents, schematics, and safety requirements.
• Lead bench-level, vehicle-level, pre-launch, qualification, acceptance, integration, and flight-support test campaigns.
• Develop, review, and approve test procedures and coordinate interface requirements across engineering functions.
• Investigate electrical test anomalies, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions through closure.
• Automate testing and design scalable instrumentation, data-acquisition infrastructure, ground support equipment, and modular test interfaces for production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical test, avionics integration and test, or vehicle electrical systems verification.
• Experience developing end-to-end tests for large, complex systems and leading electrical test campaigns with flight hardware.
• Hands-on experience with power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, data-acquisition systems, RF test equipment, spectrum analyzers, and attenuators.
• Experience specifying and building electrical ground support equipment and developing test procedures from system-level specifications and interface control documents.
• U.S. citizenship, U.S. permanent residence, or qualifying refugee/asylee status is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Experience with launch vehicles, spacecraft, highly integrated electrical systems, GPS/GNSS simulators, RF link performance, and automated test frameworks.
• Experience scaling electrical test programs from development to production and applying Design for Testability principles.
• Previous lead or management experience in a test or integration organization.
