TL;DR
Marketing Engineer (AI) (AI automation and martech): Building agentic workflows, marketing integrations, data pipelines, and experimentation infrastructure that automate lifecycle, content, reporting, and attribution work with an accent on LLM APIs, CRM platforms, analytics data, and self-serve tooling. Focus on designing AI-assisted automation, integrating Customer.io, Stripe, PostHog, and platform event data, and enabling rigorous A/B testing without engineering bottlenecks.
Location: Mountain View, CA, United States; on-site

What you will do
- Design and build agentic workflows for lifecycle triggers, campaign QA, segmentation, and reporting.
- Build internal tools that allow non-technical marketers to configure and launch automations.
- Integrate Customer.io, Stripe, PostHog, platform event data, and other marketing technologies.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for Metabase dashboards, including LTV and cohort reporting.
- Develop UTM, tracking, attribution, and A/B testing infrastructure.
- Document selected automation builds for newsletters, videos, events, technical blogs, and developer-focused case studies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience, including 1–2 years applying engineering to marketing, growth, or RevOps.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as Claude or OpenAI and agentic workflows or tool-use patterns.
- Strong Python or JavaScript/Node scripting skills and experience with REST APIs and webhooks.
- Experience integrating CRM or marketing automation platforms and working with event tracking and analytics tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience building or maintaining data pipelines.
- Ability to work on-site in Mountain View, California.
Nice to have
- Experience with Stripe, Customer.io, Hootsuite, or Metabase.
- Technical writing for developer audiences.
- Background in growth engineering, marketing operations engineering, or a similar hybrid role.
- Familiarity with AI/ML or technical education.
