What you will do

• Build and test laboratory-scale prototypes and integrate subsystems to improve performance and scalability.
• Design and implement quantum algorithms for molecular modeling, materials discovery, and machine learning.
• Perform system-level modeling and validate experimental results against theoretical predictions.
• Contribute code, data analysis, and technical documentation to larger project teams.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and briefs for internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical/Optical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience with quantum computing concepts (qubits, gates) or laboratory optics (lasers, detectors).
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) clearance.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for conveying technical ideas to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python, Julia, or Matlab for quantum simulations (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq).
• Familiarity with laser safety, alignment, and optical measurement techniques.
• Experience in research projects, internships, or conference presentations.
• Ability to contribute to field demonstrations of quantum technology.
