What you will do

• Build multi-modal sensor fusion architectures and spatial-temporal representation learners to solve real-world challenges.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models, including Generative AI (Gen AI) and non-ML systems.
• Create data mining, labeling, training, and evaluation pipelines to support onboard development.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and research teams across Waymo and Alphabet.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer Science or a similar discipline, or equivalent deep learning experience.
• 3+ years experience in Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or JAX.
• Must be based in or able to work from Mountain View, California (Hybrid schedule).

Nice to have

• MS or PhD Degree in Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Science or a similar discipline.
• Publications at top-tier conferences like CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS.
• Github repositories or tech blogs focused on LLMs/VLMs.
