Salary: $160,000–$240,000 USD (California range).

What you will do

• Design, implement, and automate security solutions for HPC and virtualization environments.
• Review infrastructure deployments and architecture designs for security flaws and advocate for stronger controls.
• Develop scripts and orchestration tools to automate security checks and enhance cloud/virtualized system support.
• Collaborate with Cloud Platform, IT, and Product teams to develop security strategies tailored to business needs.
• Conduct threat and risk assessments, perform Proof of Concepts, and document findings to guide design decisions.
• Mentor team members and engineering staff on security best practices and technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience (or 2+ years with a Master's degree).
• High proficiency in cloud/virtualization technologies (AWS, HPC, MAAS).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Go, or Java) for automation and CI/CD integration.
• Strong understanding of Cyber Security Standards (ISO27001, NIST 800-53).

Nice to have

• Experience with Jenkins.
• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
• Exposure to data governance and storage lifecycle management.
