What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and execute Python-based hardware validation scripts for board-level and interface-level testing.
• Translate hardware requirements into test procedures and pass/fail criteria; validate and troubleshoot UART, RS-422/485, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Ethernet, and CAN.
• Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power supplies, signal generators) to diagnose and isolate issues across hardware, firmware, test scripts, and test setups.
• Perform root-cause analysis, drive issue resolution, and write clean, maintainable Python code with robust logging and error handling.
• Maintain test documentation, traceability, and execution reports; support test automation improvements and provide regular project status updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years of experience in hardware validation, testing, or automation, including basic Python scripting for hardware testing.
• Hands-on board-level debugging and hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of hardware communication protocols: UART, RS-422/485, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Ethernet, and CAN.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power supplies, and signal generators.
• Ability to create test plans, execute tests, analyze results, and use Git and software development best practices.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of aerospace or safety-critical standards such as DO-178C.
