What you will do

• Develop and own high-fidelity vehicle dynamics models for truck simulation and autonomy validation.
• Design and maintain simulation platforms for closed-loop evaluation pipelines at scale.
• Partner with autonomy engineering teams to implement vehicle model requirements for planning and controls.
• Perform root cause analysis on issues identified during simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Ensure model performance through automated regression frameworks and clear documentation.
• Collaborate with OEM partners and simulation vendors to integrate and co-develop simulation capabilities.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 6+ years of experience, or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, ROS/ROS2, CMake, and Linux.
• Strong background in physics-based modeling of ground vehicles, including tire models and powertrain.
• Working knowledge of AV autonomy stack architecture.
• Ability to operate as an advanced-level professional with independent judgment.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-fidelity truck and trailer or heavy-vehicle models.
• Experience building or extending closed-loop autonomous vehicle simulation environments.
• Familiarity with scenario-based validation and sim-to-real correlation.
• Familiarity with neural network consumption of simulation outputs.
