What you will do

• Ingest and transform data from ADLS Gen2 into Snowflake using cleansing and business rule application.
• Design and build Gold-layer data models optimized for Power BI consumption.
• Implement Snowflake objects including Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams, and Dynamic Tables.
• Develop and maintain transformation models using dbt with appropriate testing and documentation.
• Collaborate with business teams to validate semantic layer requirements and ensure model accuracy.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to business team data leads.

Requirements

• Must hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status in Canada.
• Must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years.
• Must be able to obtain Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B).
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, Snowpipe, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (Snowpark) for data transformation.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with cloud platforms like Azure.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices for Snowflake (e.g., SchemaChange, dbt CI).
• Experience with DirectQuery vs. Import mode considerations in Power BI.
