Salary: CAD $130,000–$180,000

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship complex product features that rely on well-modeled, reliable, and scalable data.
• Own work end-to-end, from problem definition and technical design through delivery and support.
• Apply strong database and data modeling fundamentals when designing schemas, queries, and data flows.
• Translate product and business needs into thoughtful technical solutions, identifying tradeoffs and risks.
• Improve performance, reliability, and data integrity by addressing root causes and reducing system complexity.
• Set and reinforce strong engineering practices through code reviews, testing, and technical standards.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience owning and supporting production software used by real customers.
• Strong experience working with databases, data modeling, and data-driven systems at scale.
• The ability to take ambiguous, complex problems and turn them into clear, maintainable solutions.
• Comfort working in large, evolving codebases and improving existing systems over time.
• Sound technical judgment when balancing speed, quality, performance, and long-term maintainability.

• Experience scaling databases and data-driven solutions from the application side through to supporting infrastructure.
